The iconic building New Manege in Moscow is currently hosting “Mikhail Baryshnikov, from the Dance Series”, a solo exhibition visible until 12 November 2017.

New Manege Moscow is a private cultural organisation founded in May 2012, and acts as the site of the Moscow Design Museum. With a central location, adjacent to the famous Red Square, it aims to promote Russian design and educate the public about artistic culture.

The exhibition will be the premiere screening in Russia of twenty photographs from one of the world’s greatest male ballet dancers, Mikhail Baryshnikov. He dedicated his entire life to the arts in many different ways and gained great recognition in recent years with his photographs picturing human movement and the art of dance. Through his art, Baryshnikov celebrates the main story of his life and his passion for dance. His artistic vision is not limited to ballet and celebrates the enthusiasm of people dancing. Through the use of long exposures and dramatic light, Baryshnikov explores the rhythmic movements and unique energy of dance in each shot.
