News – 17 March 2017
ContiniArtUK is pleased to announce that, due to its wide spread popularity at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome, “LOVE. Contemporary Art Meets Love” exhibition has been transferred to Permanente in Milan where it is opening from the 17th March until the 23rd of July 2017. The exhibition, curated by Danillo Eccher, succeeded in garnering mass enthusiasm thanks to its universal theme of love.
Robert Indiana well known for his iconic pop art pieces “LOVE” and “AMOR”, both of which are on display at “LOVE. Contemporary Art Meets Love”, is the perfect fit for this artistic exploration into love. Indiana’s work does not fail to give tangible form to one of humanity’s most universal and complex emotions.
The innovative exhibition gathers a number of highly influential contemporary artists alongside Indiana, such as Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol and Tom Wesselmann. Each artist attempts to relate love from their own point of view, creating a highly emotional collection of works.
Milan, with its contemporary character and fashion history, is the ideal destination for the continuation of the project initiated in Rome. The galleries of the Permanente museum have been chosen as the most suitable to accommodate the 39 works of the exhibition which make up this remarkable tale on love.
